Ok guys, the big day,or as it is call,'Super Tuesday' is just one day away and Im sure you are just as excited as I am.But for those of you who have no idea what Super Tuesday means, dont worry I am going to tell you some of the things that you need to know now.
So,why is it call Super Tuesday,it is because its the day on which the largest simultaneous number of state U.S. presidential primary elections in the historyare scheduled to hold either caucuses or primary elections for one or both parties on this date of U.S. primaries will be held.Twenty four states, including American Samoa are scheduled to hold either caucuses or primary elections for one or both parties on this date. Some major states, includes California,New York and New Jersey and this could be the day that could be make-or-breaks contest for both Republicans and Democrats, actually if polls are to be believe, that situation would imply more on the former where John McCain is heading most of the polls followed by Romney and Huckabee.
But of course as we have learnt from New Hampshire, polls could not entirely be believe to have the same outcome of the votes.Even though McCain is leading the way in most of the states on the Republican side,it doesnt surprise me if Romney or even Huckabee pulls up a surprise or two, which I hope to see it happening. If not, then I think we will have a clear representative for the Republican after Super Tuesday. As for the Democrats,Hillary and Obama are neck and neck with each other with no clear frontrunners yet because both of them are neither far ahead or back from each other,so it wont be surprising if we wont get a clear favourite for the Democrats even after Super Tuesday because it wont be the end of the campaign anyway.
Its going to be definitely interesting,I cant wait for it! For the full coverage of Super Tuesday, you may watch it on ChannelNewsAsia from 9 am onwards tomorrow. If you have a cable box,you may want to watch it on BBC News,Fox News and of course my preferred channel CNN,the most reliable network for any news.Im not sure about the other channel, but CNN will begin its coverage at 7 am onwards,so do wake up early if you do not wish to miss anything. If you have anything to say about Super Tuesday,do share your views. If not,I shall see you again tomorrow when everything will be much clearer, well I hope it will.
