Thinking of travelling to Kuala Lumpur or London to take a ride on their giant ferris wheel or some call it the 'observation wheel'.Whatever it is,I think you know what I mean. Why waste your money to travel when you can take a ride right here in Singapore.I believe most of you have seen the observation wheel or as they call it here the 'Singapore Flyer'before, its so big,you cant miss it if you are travelling to the city unless you are blind of course.
Of course this is not the first time that it has ever been built, like I said, such observation wheel can be found in London and Kuala Lumpur. But it is of course the first in Singapore. It is certainly have been a very quick process to build it,even the general manager of the Singapore Flyer said that they are actually ahead of time, which is great because they can make more money and people can ride it soon! At 165 metres or 42-storey high, the Singapore Flyer will be 30 metres higher than Britain's London Eye,and making it the world's biggest observation wheel! How cool is that. But unfortunately, that term can only be use for probably the next 2 years as two more observation wheel will be build in Beijing and Berlin, also by the same company that has built our one and it is expected to be bigger and higher than the Singapore Flyer. But that makes us the worlds 3rd largest observation wheel, which isnt bad right?
The wheel will start twirling just before dusk Monday evening, organisers said, but unfortunately, only corporate clients are the group of people that will be riding on its very first ever round or its 'inaugural flight' as they call it.You may watch it however if you are taking a bus, taxi, cars or anything and travelling in that area.If you want to ride it,you have to wait for 1st March where it will be open to the public. Each ride will cost you a cheap,I think,$29.50 get a 360-degree view of up to 45 kilometres across the island republic and into neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia on the 30-minute ride.Yes you get to see some glimpse of Malaysia and Indonesia, how cool is that. You cant experience that on the London Eye or the one in Malaysia, but dont expect to see the Twin Towers or anything.
So there you go,everything you need to know about our brand new attraction, the Singapore Flyer.I have waited for a very long time for the thing to start operating and I dont have to wait any longer now.My birthday is in March and its public opening in its March too.Couldnt get any better. So Im probably going to ask my mum to take me on a ride on the Singapore Flyer as my birthday gift.Im sure many of you are looking forward to riding on it as well, hopefully you will get your chance soon and hopefully you will enjoy yourself.Have a nice and safe ride.
