Singapore's Budget to be announce soon...what are your expectations?

Hey people,as you know, the Singapore's Budget will be released soon,on this Friday in particular and unlike last year's budget, where the situation was much stable, this year will be a completely different story all together. Why? Because of rising concern of an economic recession in America, the world's largest economy and one of Singapore main source of revenue as well as the rising cost of oil around the world.

All this factors have caused a rise in the cost of living here, everything is rising, food, taxi fares,ERP charges, and even things that we want to get on a daily basis.People are complaining but I think at the same time, they have to understand that the government dont just raise the cost of things for fun,but for particular purpose. However,I believe the government will not raise the cost of things too much, but to a reasonable amount.Anyway back to the upcoming budget announcement, another key issue would be the widening income gaps.I think it is important that in times like these, the government should not forget about the less income families and the middle income families as well.I hope to see some plan on how the government will help to close the income gaps and what they have in plan in case there is a global recession, which I really hope not.Even if there is,I doubt it will be that serious such as the one in the past.

I would love to hear on your views about the upcoming budget announcement. What do you expect to hear from the government? Do you think we are ready to face another recession in the US? Do you expect the cost of things to go down once the uncertainty is gone? Do send me your comment as I would love from you.But for now,we shall wait till Friday to get a clearer picture of the government plans for the year ahead.Im not sure whether it will be telecast,it should be like in previous years probably on ChannelNewsAsia if you wish to watch it.
