Alright just as I had expected,my man Barack Obama was victorious again this time in the Maine caucuses. With 70 percent of precincts reporting,Obama was leading Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York 58 percent to 41 percent according to my favourite news channel CNN,which means that it is enough to declare Obama the winner there, who also won all the other states that was contesting on Saturday, see my previous two post if you want to find out more.
After the weekends result,Barack Obama is now leading over Clinton in pledged delegates to the convention, but Clinton still held a narrow edge over Obama when "superdelegates",which is the elected officials and party leaders are included in the tally.Clinton has a 224-135 edge among superdelegates, which leaves her leading the Democratic race 1,139-1,106.After the dismal performance at the weekend, its no surprise that Hillary Clinton is reshuffling her team a little bit.She has replaced her campaign manager with a longtime adviser,Maggie Williams, the campaign announced on Sunday.
Its been a great weekend in the presidential race as far as Im concern.Obama sweeping all the contesting states, there is nothing greater than that.Whether it was because of the weekend result that Hillary decided to replace her campaign manager or whether it is because of other reason,I dont know. But one thing for sure, she is feeling the heat from Obama and he is fast catching up.The next contest will be held on Tuesday the District of Columbia,Maryland and in Virginia, and if you think it is going to end anytime soon, dont bet on it because I doubt it will! Lets hope my man Barack Obama will be able to perform well on Tuesday too because that would even be a bigger boost for his campaign.YES WE CAN!
