'The Contender Asia' Finale,My Review....

So yesterday,I went to watch 'The Contender Asia' finale,at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and I am going to share some of my experience with you right now.For those of you who have no idea what it is all about,it is a reality series competition which showcase some of the best Muay Thai fighters there is in the world.Im sure you have heard the show 'The Contender' before, which is the original boxing version in America, but as for the Asian version,it is all about Muay Thai since it is quite popular in this part of the world.'

Before the finale itself, there was two exhibition match. Then there was 3 other matches that was planned with some of the competitors which have been previously eliminated from the show having a rematch with each other. To my surprise,Rafik Bakkouri, the big mouth was participating in one of the match and our local boy,Zach who was eliminated in the show due to his dislocated shoulder in the second round of his match, had a rematch as well with Zidov. The event started at 7pm and it end at around 10.30pm.And then it came to the final match, which we will see the first ever 'Contender Asia' to be crowned.I wont tell you who was the final two competitors for the sake of you who are waiting for the show to airs on Channel 5.For those of you who subscribe to the cable TV,you would have probably know one of the finalist.

All I can say is that the two finalists are one of the best in the show and in the world as well, and it was a 'dream finale' as I would like to call it.Every round was closely contested by both fighters,it was a great match, the crowd was on their feet for most of the time. You can see that both of them really wanted to win the competition badly but at the end of the day, there can only be one winner which you will have to watch to know. Both of them are my favourites,so it was difficult for me to choose which side to support but whoever the winner was going to be,I will still be happy. The winner received a 'Contender Asia' championship belt and a cheque of US $150,000.

For those of you who have SCV,I think the finale will be shown on AXN in 2 weeks time, and for those of you who are waiting to watch it on Channel 5,you dont have to wait any longer as it will be premiering soon, which is on Thursday,Apr 17,at 11pm.If you like reality TV competitions and you like tough fighting, then this is the show to watch. You definitely dont want to miss it.And before I end,I have a good news to tell all the Contender Asia fans out there, that since Singapore has been a great place to host the show, the organisers have decided that Season 2 will be produce in Singapore as well and it will start in October. So if you miss the chance to see the finale at the Indoor Stadium yesterday, you might have another chance of watching the finale for Season 2 live next time.
