Happy Mother's Day...

Today,on the 11 of May,we celebrate the sacrifice and the love that has been given to us by someone who is very special to us,our dear mother.Today,we celebrate Mother's Day.Here is a fact that you might want to know about Mother's Day.Different countries celebrate Mother's Day on various days of the year because the day has a number of different origins.United Kingdom for example celebrate it on the 2nd of March this year, which is the forth Sunday of Lent, exactly 3 weeks before Easter Sunday, while Indonesia celebrate it on the 22nd of December. For us in Singapore,we tend to follow the same day of celebration as the United States.

The United States celebrates Mother's Day on the second Sunday in May,and it does not neccesarily falls on the 11 of May as in the case for this year,so the date will vary.I won't explain how it actually originated because I don't think you are interested, but you if are,you can always search it on the Internet. Many choose to celebrate Mother's Day by giving their mum some gifts or bringing them out to treat them, but I prefer to just stay at home and just say 'Happy Mother's Day'.I don't see the need to spend money to buy gifts or do anything special for my mother just because it is call 'Mother's Day'.I treat everyday as a Mother's Day.I cant remember when was the last time I say 'I love you' to my mother but Im sure she knows it.I try not to make my mother angry,do whatever she asked me to and try not to hurt her feelings.I am just grateful that I still have my mother with me to support me and to look after me.I know some of the people who are much younger than me but have lost their mothers,it must be really difficult for them.

I dread to think that one day my mother will leave me forever, but I hope that I could repay her back in the future. She have done a lot for me and my family and I hope I can do the same for her in her later years.I hope that you will share the same views as me too.So on this special day,go on and do something special for your mother, just say 'I love you' or something, you dont need spend your money to show your appreciation.Just cherish your mother like today would be the last time you would be seeing her and for those of you whose mother have left before you,I hope you will not feel very sad and I pray that they are happy up there in heaven.

Here wishing every mum out there a very Happy Mother's Day.
