Apart from Mother's Day,there is another piece of good news that I would like to share with you guys today. The first daughter of U.S. PresidentJenna Bush, have yesterday, tied the knot with her fiancee,Henry Hager, the son of a well-connected Virginia Republican less than one year after he proposed.
The wedding ceremony was held at President Bush's 1,600-acre ranch near Crawford, Texas. With twin sister Barbara as her maid of honor and Hager's brother Jack as best man,14 young women attendants and 14 male ushers,Jenna and Henry married at 7:30 pm before a cream-colored Texas limestone cross that Mr Bush ordered, erected near a lake on the ranch. It was a rather low-key affair as it was not open to the public.Only family members and close friends were invited which includes former president George Bush and wife Barbara.
Nevertheless, most of the people living in Crawford was very excited with some of the tiny town's souvenir shops making the most of the attention,by selling 11-dollar computer mousepads and 10-dollar coffee mugs adorned with the happy couple's picture.Hager, who is set to receive his business degree in a few weeks, met Jenna during the president's 2004 reelection and worked as an aide to Bush's since-departed political advisor,Karl Rove.Jenna,26, is the 22nd child of a president to get married while their father was in the Oval Office.
I am very happy for both Mr and Mrs Bush.It was a great occassion. It must be a proud day for any parent to see their children getting married for the first time ever.I think both their daughters are really beautiful. If I could,I would marry either one, well at least one of them is still single. The husband,Hager is really a lucky guy.He gets to marry a very beautiful lady and he also gets to be the Bush's son in law.I really envy him but I think he is a good guy who will not disappoint Mr & Mrs Bush and he will take good care of Jenna.I would like to think myself as one of the family members of the Bush family, that is why I share their joy as well.I wish the newly wed couple a great future ahead, hopefully they will give Mr Bush a lot of grandchildren and I would like to congratulate both Mr and Mrs Bush once again on their daughter's wedding.
