The time is now.I will be deploying to Iraq in a few months or maybe weeks time to help the Allied forces battle against the elements of extremists there.I dont know whether I should be excited or unhappy about it but I guess I shall just look forward to it and focus on the positives instead of the negatives.I always believe that a true warrior,or in this case,a true soldier is one who is not afraid to die in time of a battle or a war,and I have that same attitude in me.I think in this world,there is nothing better for a man than to protect his country from the people that is trying to cause harm.Last week,I heard about a story of how a U.S soldier who sacrificed his life in order to save his fellow soldiers by jumping on to a grenade and taking the full force of it.That is the greatest act of courage and service that one could ask for.
When Im there,I vow to work as hard as I can and take out as many bad guys as I can.The people there are crying for help,they are suffering each day and night,and now I have come to their rescue.I hope to do my family and my country proud,so do wish me well.
