Now if you remember two years ago, there was some controversy over the decision of a Danish newspaper to publish cartoons of Prophet Muhammad in many Muslim countries which was obviously angry that Prophet Muhammad is being made fun of.If you think things couldnt get any worse, there will soon be an anti-Koran film being shown by Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders .The title of the film is apparently call 'Fitna' which means to accuse someone wrongly, according to its website which has been suspended recently by its U.S. hosting service after receiving a lot of complaints.
The website is now under investigation by the company hosting the service,Network Solutions on whether the site violates its term of service. While the exact contents of the 15-minute movie, due to be released by March 31,are unknown,Wilders has said it will underscore his view that Islam's holy book is "fascist." Wilders has said he will release his movie on the Internet after television stations refused to air it.And of course when such thing happens, there will be a protest and thousands demonstrated against Wilders' film on Saturday in a way to show that he does not represent the whole country.Wilders heads a reactionary party with nine seats in the 150-member Dutch parliament, elected on an anti-immigration platform.A Dutch court will hear a complaint lodged by Muslim groups seeking to bar Wilders from releasing the film March 28,but there is no legal barrier preventing Wilders from releasing his film before then.
It was not clear whether YouTube or other video sharing sites would be willing to host the movie.

Now I was absolutely livid when I heard about this news because the cartoons publication was already bad,and this news doesnt help to ease the tension,in particular of the Muslim world. Its sad to see that when this kind of thing happens, the people who are responsible for it defends their actions by simply saying they are practising their 'freedom of speech' or the 'freedom to express themselves' as what had happened for the cartoons publication. But Im sure the word 'freedom' does not mean that you are able to do anything you want to the extent that it can be seen as an insult to a group of people. With the problems that the world is dealing right now, religious rights is a very serious and sensitive issue to discuss about.Im not speaking this just because Im a Muslim, but Im speaking this as a human being with a sense of what is right and what is acceptable when you talk about expressing yourself.
I dont see the need to publish a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad other than the fact that it is done to provoke the Muslim world and I dont see the need to publish a movie of an anti-Koran film, and by calling it with words such as 'fitnah' and 'facist' is absolutely outrageous, and even more so when he is a public figure.I hope the Dutch government will stop him from showing the movie on the big screen and I hope that video sharing website will disallow him to use the internet to showcase his film. There is absolutely no point of doing so,other than to add fuel to the fire that is already burning.I wonder how will he feel if someday we use the bible and make a mockery out of it,the same way he has done, but that is not what Muslim is about. We should not react the same way our enemies did to us,nor should we act violently, instead,we should try and deal with this matter peacefully, the way it should be done.

You are completely wrong. Being 'insulting' is one the most important aspects of freedom of speech - you obviously have no idea whatsoever what freedom is about.
Freedom of speech can be frightening and dangerous, but it's a picnic compared to what can happen when you try to restrict it.

You are a tyrant. How can you write this rubbish? What about my right to see the film and judge for myself? Who are you to decide what I can or can't see?
You can believe your religious fairy tales if you like, and you can insult my atheism or my Christian culture, but I couldn't care less. Move to a country that does your thinking for you and leave the West to its freedom of speech.
Mr Simon,I appreciate your views and I respect it.Glad to listen to someone with a different opinion on it.Just wondering whether I personally know you or not?
