Mancini quitting Inter!

I woke up this morning,disappointed to hear that another one of my favourite team,Inter Milan has been dumped out of the Champions League after losing 1-0 to Liverpool with an aggregate score of 3-0 in both legs going to Liverpool favour.And to add to the disappointing news,I read that Inter Milan manager,Roberto Mancini will quit the team at the end of the season.

Its sad.I wont talk about the Champions League game,because its all over now,well done to Liverpool,wish them the best of luck but Mancini quitting is even more disappointing because I think he has done a great job,well results speaks for itself.We were the Serie A champion last season and we are looking like we are on our way of defending it this season and we are still undefeated as well.So results speak for itself,Mancini is doing a good job both in the league and the respective cups competition,but its a different situation as far as European football is concern.Although he has said that his decision to quit was not base on yesterdays result,I believe it has something to do with it.I think he is thinking that he has taken Inter as far as he could go and it would be the perfect time to hand over the club to someone else who could even achieve better success than he did.Im talking about winning the Champions League of course.

Mancini still have four years to run on his contract,a lot of time,so it kind of baffle me why he decided to quit so soon.Im sure he will not have any difficulties finding a new club to manage after this season have ended.As for who might replace him,it could be the 'Special One' Jose Mourinho because he has said that he wish to coach in Italy or Spain before returning to England and I think starting with Inter would not be a bad thing right.I mean we have good players,good foundations,probably going to be in the Champions League again next season.Jose has said last week that he would love to play and 'kill' his old club Chelsea in the Champions League some day and I think Inter would be the perfect opportunity for him to do that.Anyway,any talk about a new manager can wait till next season.

Serie A,the name of the Italian league,is still not over.It still have about 2 more months or so left in it.Although we are in the first place,Roma is not far behind and can still catch up.It would be good if we can end the season by winning the league again,to give Mancini a tribute for his hard work and I think fittingly for his farewell.Till then,enjoy the remaining matches of the season and FORZA INTER!

United we stand...

Alright guys,Ive been getting a lot of mockings and suggestions about my beloved football club,Newcastle United and the direction that it is heading for.So I just want to make everything clear once and for all.For everyone who have suggested to me that I should support another club,you can continue to dream on,because there is no chance that that is going to ever happen,not now,not in 10 years time,not even in 100 years time if I manage to live for that long.I will support the club 100% through good times or bad times till the day Im gone.

Why you may ask? Its because supporting a football club is not the same as picking a new clothes to wear.It is easy to change your clothes and buying new ones when it is old or when you cant wear it anymore but supporting a football club is not like that.It stays with you forever.It is like staying with your family throughout the good and the bad times.I dont expect you to leave your family when they are facing some difficulties and then try returning back to them when the good times are coming back right? The same can be apply to football.I know most of you are Manchester United or Arsenal fan,who doesnt have to worry about relegation or being in the second half of the table every season,but logically,it can still happen.What will do if it ever happen? Are you going to stop supporting the club and find a new club if they are relegated? Obviously you will say no.The same goes with me.

You can say whatever you want about my club,but for me,supporting Newcastle United is the best feeling that can ever be even though it might be very depressing sometimes.It is really difficult to understand a club like us,which was fighting for the Premier League crown in the late 1990s and was competing in the Champions League in early 2000,is now fighting for Premier League survival.But I guess thats football for you.Anything can possibly happen.But whether we stay in the league and get relegated,I am not backing down from supporting the club,no matter how difficult it is for me not to see my club playing on the television anymore.I dont think that there is any club who can attract 50,000 people to watch the match at the stadium regardless of the position in the league that they are in as well as filling all the seats in the away allocation of the opponents stadium in every game.There is only one club that can do it,and it is Newcastle United.

Mock,laugh,make fun of the club for all you want,not that I approve of it,but you can never take away my support for the team that I love very much no matter how hard you try.The season is not over.We will continue on fighting till the very end and as supporters,all we can do is to give our full support to the team and hope for the best.But whatever the outcome at the end of the season is,relegated or not,we will always remain as one and we will continue to stick together because that is what Newcastle United is all about.

Malaysia Election: Worst electoral defeat for BN

Malaysians were out voting yesterday in what has turn out be a history making day in the country's politics.Malaysia's ruling coalition on Saturday suffered its biggest electoral upset ever,losing control of four state governments and failing to win the crucial two-thirds majority in parliament.It is Barisan Nasional (BN)'s worst performance in a general election since independence in 1957.

The National Front coalition won 137 of the 222 seats at stake,or less than 62 percent,the Election Commission announced in releasing preliminary results,according to state news agency Bernama.The coalition lost four states - Kedah,Penang,Perak and Selangor,while PAS secured two-thirds majority to keep its hold on Kelantan.MIC President Samy Vellu lost his seat as well,but I think many people saw that coming.Besides Samy Vellu,who is also the Works Minister,Shahrizat Abdul Jalil,Zainuddin Maidin and Abdul Aziz Shamsuddin were also defeated in the elections.The biggest surprise for me was of course when I heard former Deputy Prime Minister,Anwar Ibrahim's daugther,Nurul Izzah beating BN Shahrizat Abdul Jalil,in Lembah Pantai.Considering she was contesting in the election for the first time while Shahrizat has done it and won it many times before is remarkable.Well done to her,I am really pleased because I am a huge Anwar Ibrahim fan,its sad that he is unable to compete in yesterday's election,but I guess watching her daughther and his wife,Wan Azizah Wan Ismail,retaining her seat is just as good as seeing Anwar winning.

Despite yesterday shocking result for the coalition,Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi,who retained his Kepala Batas parliamentary seat in Penang,said that he is not stepping down and that he would have an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin,on Monday on the formation of the new government.Yesterday result I think was not so shocking seeing how the Malaysians are unhappy with the current regime over price rises,religious disputes and concerns over corruption.It is definitely a big blow to PM Abdullah and his party,but I guess that is how democracy is.If the people is not happy with the current government,they want to see change and change is exactly what has happened yesterday.

After yesterday result,I dont expect PM Abdullah to step down but it is going to be tough work for him and his party going into the future if they want to win the confidence back from the people.The election is over,now is the time to deliver what has been said,Im really looking forward to whether Nurul Izzah can do a good job,Im sure she will.The only way to see whether Malaysians has done the right decision is to wait and see.One thing for sure,it can only get more interesting from here.

Obama wins Wyoming caucus...

Yesterday we saw the state of Wyoming going out voting for the two remaining Democratic presidential hopeful.It is a caucus,not a primary and not surprisingly,my man,Barack Obama was the victorious party and after losing the big state of Texas and Ohio recently,I guess I can be happy for a while at least.The Illinois senator has now won 13 caucuses to Clinton's three.

Obama led rival Sen. Hillary Clinton by 61 percent to 38 percent,with all of the precincts reporting.The caucus has 12 delegates on offer.It might seem little to you but with the current situation for the Democratic party looking dead lock now,every delegates from now on is very important.It could make the difference.With slightly more than 600 delegates left at stake,every remaining contest is crucial to both candidates.The two are separated by fewer than 100 delegates,estimation shows Obama leading Clinton by 1,578 to 1,468,according to the Associated Press.In Wyoming alone,Obama won seven delegates and Clinton won five.

Attention now turns to the delegate-rich Pennsylvania on April 22.Obama might be leading in the delegates count but as you know in this race,its not over until it is really over.April 22 cant come closer enough for me.Till then,tune in the news for any new development.

Gates no longer world's richest...

Yup,you heard it right.Bill Gates,the boss of Microsoft,is no longer the world's richest man.After 13 long years,that title has been taken away from him finally.So who is the new richest man in the world you may ask.Well he is none other than Warren Buffett.

Mr Buffet has seen his fortune swell to an estimated $62 billion,up $10 billion from a year ago according to Forbes.So where does Mr Gates rank now? Well he has slipped to the third richest man in the world.He is up $2 billion from a year ago,but many say he would have been perhaps as rich or richer than Buffett had Microsoft not made an unsolicited bid for Yahoo at the beginning of February if you can remember.The number two spot falls to Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim,with an estimated net worth of $60 billion.His fortunate has risen $11 billion since last March.Now I know who is Bill Gates and Warren Buffet,but I have little information on the Mexican guy so I cant talk much about him.Buffett,whose fortune is estimated based on his stake in Berkshire Hathaway and assets he holds outside the company,refused to comment on his net worth.

Another interesting thing about the list is that we are seeing more and more Asians making to the top.Just two years ago,half of the world's 20 richest were from America,now only four are.This year alone,four of the world's richest man who made it to the top 10 hails from India,more than any other country.It is also a record-breaking year for young billionaires,with Forbes finding 50 under the age of 40, 25 of whom are new to the list.Sixty-eight percent of these underage 40 tycoons built their 10 figure fortunes from scratch.The youngest billionaire is not surprisingly the founder of Facebook,Mark Zuckerberg,23 and he is possibily be the youngest self-made billionaire in history.Well there you go.Some of the world's richest person today.If you want to become rich like them,just set up a website which is able to attact millions of people,and who knows you might just end up as Zuckerberg.

As the old saying goes,the rich is getting richer,and the poor is getting poorer.Is it true? I dont know.You decide for yourself.One thing for sure is that we all want to be rich but whether we sincerely want to become rich or not,that is a question that you yourself can answer.Anything can happen in the next 12 months.It should be interesting to see whether Buffett can maintain his position or will Bill Gates regain the spot back.Only time will tell.

Clinton bounces back while McCain clinches nomination...

Yesterday we saw the state of Texas,Ohio,Vermont and Rhode Island out voting in the latest round of the US presidential race and well well,as you might have know it already,Hillary Clinton manage to cause an 'upset' I should say,winning the delegates rich states of Texas and Ohio as well as Rhode Island while Obama won Vermont.Before yesterday's result,it was expected from various polls that Obama would take Texas and Vermont while Hillary would take the other two,but of course,you cant always trust the polls.

With 99 percent of precincts reporting in Ohio,Clinton had 54 percent of the vote compared to 44 percent for Sen. Barack Obama.The race was closer in Texas where, with 99 percent of precincts in, Clinton had 51 percent to Obama's 48 percent.Meanwhile in Rhode Island,with 98 percent of precincts reporting,Clinton had taken 58 percent of the vote to Obama's 40 percent.It might be great news if youre a Clinton fan of course,having lost the last 11 round of elections and then coming back strongly.I as an Obama fan obviously is not please with the result,because I really thought Obama was going to have Texas and Ohio,well at least Texas in the bag,and unfortunately thats hasnt been the case.However worry not Obama fans because we are still leading in the number of pledged delegates.The latest delegate count from my favourite news channel,CNN,has Obama with 1,520 delegates to Clinton's 1,424.The magic number for both of them to clinch the Democratic nomination is 2,025 delegates.But there is a problem.Even if one of them wins all the rest of the states which have not voted yet,both of them are not able to reach the number of delegates need to clinch the nomination.So what happen you may wonder?

Remember Florida and Michigan,where Clinton won both states,but no delegates were at stake because the states were penalized for violating party rules by scheduling their primaries early? The Democratic commitee is considering whether to hold a new primary over there.Clinton wants both states to count,but the problem is another primary wouldnt come cheap.Another possibility that could come into play is the various party leaders and officials who cast their vote at the convention and are free to vote for the candidate of their choice.They are what you call the 'Superdelegates'.Many people have been criticising their role but if it has to come to them to make the final decision,the people can do nothing about it.Based on superdelegates who have publicized their preference, Clinton leads Obama 238-199.The Democrats' next big primary is seven weeks away.The race shifts to Pennsylvania,where 158 delegates are at stake.Wyoming and Mississippi hold contests before then,but there aren't as many delegates up for grabs,so if you think it is close to an end,you are completely mistaken.

I shall leave the Democratic side till there for now.As for the Republican,well its no surprise that John McCain was victorious in all the states competing yesterday,making him the Republican nomination for the presidency.His close rival,Mike Huckabee has finally dropped out and said that he would give his support to McCain.As for Ron Paul,I dont know where he is nor do I care.And after receiving endorsements from superpowers like California governor,Arnold Shwazznegger and George Bush Sr.,he finally received the greatest endorsements of all today from who else,but the current US President,Mr George W Bush.As you all know,Im a strong supporter of President Bush,Ive supported most of his decisions,but I think Im going to go on my own way this time round by supporting Obama.Sorry Mr Bush,but you will still have my support sir.

Alright Im done updating you guys on yesterdays result.It was a big disappointment for me but Im sure we will bounce back in the upcoming primaries.Till then,take care and keep tuning to the news.

As we bid farewell to Putin,we welcome Medvedev with open hands...

Alright guys,back blogging after a few days rest.Its my first post in the month of March,a lot of election happening around this month,in particular Malaysia and Russia and speaking of Russia,they have just elected Dmitry Medvedev as the man to be President Putin's successor,nothing surprising after Mr Putin made it known that he was backing Medvedev to be the new President.

With 100 percent of precincts reporting,and 99.7 percent of the vote counted,Medvedev held 70.2 percent of the vote,the Central Election Commission reported,which is enough to see him becoming the next Russian president.Putin has requested that Medvedev to take over presidential State Council meetings,as well as floating the idea that they work on reorganizing the cabinet.As for the other nominees,Gennady Zyuganov,leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation,was second with nearly 18 percent and Vladimir Zhirinovsky,leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia,was third with 9.3 percent.Andrei Bogdanov,of the Democratic Party,was in fourth with 1.3 percent. And of course when every decision goes in favour of the Kremlin,the opposition will always cry for foul play or something,but I wont listen to them.So you may wonder what will happen to Mr Putin next? Well according to Medvedev,he will make Mr Putin the Prime Minister.Medvedev also said that said he would follow the foreign policy priorities set during the eight years of Putin's rule,"the essence of which is the protection of Russian interests around the whole perimeter" which I believe is a good thing to do because Russia has been doing well under Putin and I dont think there is any need to make any major changes around.

The Russian people have spoken and they have decided who is the best to manage the country.They should not listen to what the opposition have to say.They are complaining about the result because simply,they didnt win.Even if the votes are counted again,Im sure Medvedev will still be the clear winner.Once I heard that Mr Putin will support Medvedev to be his successor,I knew at that moment that he will be the next president because I know Mr Putin is a great man,very popular with the Russian people and have a very good judgement and it is because this believe from the Russian people that they had decided to go with Medvedev.Mr Putin has done a great job since taking over,it is sad to see him leaving,but at least he will become the prime minister.Many say Medvedev will just be a puppet of Mr Putin but I disagree with that and I dont think Mr Putin will want to see that happening.Yes they can work together but not with Mr Putin telling Medvedev everything he has to do.But I think Medvedev should do a good job.The Russians have a very high hope on him.He will have a tough task after taking over in particular the Kosovo independence saga and the disagree with the United States over the missile plan.Only time will tell whether he is the right man as we bid farewell to our beloved President Putin.
